These little balls of happyness are one of my favorite types of chocolates for several reasons. They are really quick to make, they’re actually healthy and they don’t involve too much chocolate. I came up with these a couple of years back, after the christmas holidays. Hubby is a chocoholic, if there’s chocolate in the house, it’s as good as gone already.

GW2 Apple-Cinnamon Stroodle & Vanilla Sauce
Sometimes GW2 has a way to poke and prod at my subconscious basic instincts until I give in – the hunter-and-gatherer part of me for example. While I’m not really OCD’ing on achievement collections (my dislike of anything PVP related would make that one hell of an unpleasant experience) I just have to finish things I’ve already started. One wonderful autum morning last year I noticed I was just a few miniatures short of a tier upgrade or a completed tab in all of the miniature collections. Hmm… one or two items short of the finishing line? That would have bugged me to no end until I had taken care of it, so I went Mini-shopping right away to get it out of my system.

Mango Cream Dessert
You know that awful moment when you just can’t ignore your stomach growling at you anymore and you have to face the fact that, while you’re actually hungry, you’re just not in the mood for anything whatsoever? Believe me, the backwards-version of that is just as annoying and unsatisfying. While anything of the stereotype-bad-weather-food variety was backflipping in my head, my stomach also started backflipping since it evidently couldn’t agree with the whole hearty-and-warm shindig in my head at 7 a.m.

Heeeey, the 80’s just called, they want their Chocolate Orange back! Tacky versions of the classic chocolate and orange combination aside, the aromas just go too well together to file under „outdated“, so we’ll just call it „retro“ and move on.

After being reminded of the consequences (cleaning up the last remaining chocolate and caramel droplets from all available surfaces of my kitchen and … how the hell did it get up there? … with a nasty burn from the last drop of caramel I scraped out of the pan onto my hand really, really bites) of my sweets and chocolates marathon during the last couple of days in order to finish all the easter chocolates boxes, I decided to venture outside my planned order and post another treat off the easter menu. Merry Easter Egg Hunt everyone!
Like I’ve said before, I’ve got myself a rep for my sweet bites, chocolates and chocolate truffles. Twice a year, for the christmas and easter holidays, I go big, past the occasional treat, and spend around two to three days in the kitchen, covered in chocolate.
GW2 Cherry Vanilla Compote, Yoghurt Panna Cotta and Almond Brittle
I made this one on one of those days – one glance out of the window and the only thing that came to mind was „ick“. Again. It’s been grey on grey for weeks, so I really needed some sort of a happy place – a happy plate to be more accurate.
